c1835-1842 Fancy Silver Plated Infantry Officer's 2-Piece Eagle Buckle & Belt

Beautiful, c.1835-1842, fancy silver plated 2-piece eagle infantry officer's buckle on its original belt. The buckle has a beautiful uncleaned patina and fantastic silver. Both the tongue and wreath are bench marked with the number 35. The buckle measures 57 mm's x 83 mm's in size. The leather belt has an exterior white tar type coating. The coating has a heavy crazing and flaking. The leather belt has the brass and leather belt keepers. All the hand sewn stitching is solid. It has not been treated. The leather belt is light weight and shows wear. It is an early pre-Mexican American War belt rig for your collection. $1695
