Large & Early Dug Eagle With Cannons & Flags Militia Hat Plate

Large and early, c.1820's, dug militia hat plate. The front has an eagle with cannons, flags, stars, and a decorative floral border. This plate has a nice greenish patina and is complete with just some light bends and dents. It has not been straightened or played with at all. The attachments are missing on the reverse. This is a tough hat plate to dig. It was recovered in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains in New England. $495
