Confederate Boyle Gamble & MacFee Sabre Bayonet

Good non dug eample of a Confederate maufactured edged weapon. This is a Boyle, Gamble & MacFee Sabre Bayonet. It is a weapon found in a North Carolina attic recently. It is mostly untouched with a section of one side of the blade lightly cleaned off. The blade has some pitting and edge roughness, but it is better then most I have seen. The blade side pictured is the lightly cleaned in one section side. The cast brass handle is nice. The blade is lightly curved with an unstopped fuller. It is priced for less then a few lower quality ones I have seen. $1995
