M1839 Small Pattern US Buckle On its Original Maker Marked White Buff Leather Belt

Non dug gilted brass Model 1839 small pattern US oval belt buckle on its buff white buff leather belt. The buckle is in great shape with full lead solder fill and its tongue and arrow belt hook. The front has the original gilt finish. The belt has faded a bit to a beige color but is super nice. It is the style with the sewn on keeper. It has an indistinct rectangular ink maker stamp on the inside of the belt. It looks like the first letter could be a D and the last an E for DINGEE. The buckle and belt are in great condition for being from the pre Civil War period. They would make a great addition to your early belt and buckle collection. $685
