North & Savage Navy Model .36 caliber revolver. They were made from 1861 until 1862 with a total production of about 20,000 guns. This unique military revolver was one of the few handguns that was produced only for Civil War use. Its design was based on the antebellum Savage-North "figure eight" revolver. This revolver was found in the attic of a period house in Ambler, Pa in the 1970's. It was in a collection since then. It has a mellow grey patina and is fully functional. The six nipples are original and intact. The grips have a deep dark brown patina with some bumps and scuffs. It has one replaced screw. The pictures describe this revolver to a tee. $1575
